QUICK TOURNAMENT 28th May 2006
The
second quick tournament was held on Sunday 28th May. Once again it was a great
success and thoroughly enjoyed by all those who took part. It was great to see
so many different people there, especially more men and more juniors. We all
had some good games but not everyone can be a winner and this month the chocolates
went to Cecile Pothecary and Tom Warren. These tournaments have been such a
success that a decision was taken to make them an annual event with a Quick
Tournament Trophy being awarded to the overall winner. Points will be counted
up and carried over, grand prix style, with the winner receiving the cup at
the end of the last tournament fixture on Sunday 24 September. The next tournament
will be on the 25th June from 2 - 4pm and everyone is welcome to come and play.
